World Literacy Day kicks off proceedings, with Maths and Science days to follow
School children across the UK can take part in the World Education Games, pitting their educational skills against children from across the globe. Tomorrow (14 October) is World Maths Day, with World Science Day following on the 15th.
Check out this short video from official patron of the games, Rachel Riley, where the Oxford Maths graduate and TV presenter encourage school children to get involved in maths and to promote the games to pupils and teachers alike.
Over 5million students from over 200 countries and territories will take part in this online games-based challenge to raise points for UNICEF’s humanitarian aid ‘School in a Box’ programme used to ensure the continuation of children’s education within the first 72 hours of an emergency.
