Do you have any budding Jamie Olivers or Nigella Lawsons in your class? If you do, point them in the direction of CookIt! 2011.
Run for children by The Guild of Food Writers, the competition has the theme ‘In for the skill’ and will challenge participants to create a two-course meal – a main and a dessert – to demonstrate their culinary talent. It’s open to children aged from 10–14 years, and whilst dishes needn’t be complicated they must be their entrants’ own concoctions.
Full details and an entry form, which must be returned by April 28th, can be found at www.gfw.co.uk/children
