Primary pupils can receive free tickets to London 2012 if their school joins the Get Set network.
The chance for pupils at your school to receive free tickets to attend the London 2012 Games should not be passed up. A total of 175,000 tickets are being made available to pupils whose schools have joined the Get Set network – the London 2012 education programme. And if your school has not already signed up, the good news is there’s still time. But don’t delay; applications to join the network must be submitted by the 16th December 2011.
Signing up to Get Set is very straightforward. Having done so, schools will receive a plaque and certificate, permission to use the London 2012 education logo on their website and school sign, and access to a range of rewards and opportunities. These include the aforementioned tickets to the Games for pupils, the chance to win tours of the Olympic Park and visits from athletes/the London 2012 mascots through regular prize draws.
All London 2012 Ticketshare tickets will be allocated to schools/colleges using an automated and random selection process. Successful applicants will receive confirmation in January 2012.
Free tickets aside, signing up to the Get Set network is well worth doing if you haven’t already done so, offering as it does a large collection of resources, ideas and opportunities to help you make the most of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
