Ready your class for a marvellous adventure – because this Roald Dahl Day they can join CBBC Book-Club presenter Katie Thistleton for a webcast filmed in the village of Great Missenden where Roald Dahl wrote his most famous stories.
The event takes place Wednesday 13 September at 2-2.30pm, and you’ll learn all about your favourite heroes like Matilda and Charlie Bucket, and see the story of Billy and the Minpins brought to life by Quentin Blake’s illustrations for the first time.
Three magical moments which you can only see in this year’s Puffin Virtually Live:
1. Quentin Blake will be talking about his illustration process and sharing his early illustrations for Billy and the Minpins
2. Colin Furze, awesome author of This Book Isn’t Safe and YouTube inventor with 5.5 million subscribers, will be going hunting for a Roald Dahl beast in his bunker
3. Steve Gardan, Director of the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre will be throwing wide the archive doors and revealing some rare Roald Dahl’s treasures
Billy and the Minpins publishes on 7 September. Complete your Roald Dahl school library collection by ordering your copy here.
