Oxford University Press has launched a free website to help parents with their child's reading.
It’s not always easy to engage parents in their child’s learning, or to ensure they support the work you do in the classroom. For these reasons, OUP has built Oxford Owl, a new website that offers parents advice, activities and over 100 free ebooks to share at home with their children.
Have a look for yourself and then pass on the good news of the following features to parents at your school.
- Over 100 free ebooks
- Phonics guide (including how to say the sounds correctly)
- Ideas for motivating boys to read
- Great ways to keep up with reading in the holidays
- Reading games and activities
